Bestival, which now takes place in Dorset, has been reopened after high winds and safety concern caused the music festival to shut down earlier today…
Although the grounds have been battered with torrential downpours for three days running, now that the winds have died down, the show must go on. Bestival is updating its Twitter regularly with reschedules and b2b sets — so if you’re out there, check out the @bestvial account.
Unfortunately, due to the poor weather, some acts were cancelled and unable to be rescheduled. The important thing is that everyone is safe and the fest is back in action.
Tonight the Pet Shop Boys are set to headline the Castle Stage, in which The XX and Tribe Called Quest played over the previous nights. Justice, DJ Shadow, Maceo Plex and more are also featured on the festival’s eclectic lineup.
Due to high winds & for everyone’s safety the main arena is temporarily closed. Please make your way to the campsites until we reopen gates.
