Daijo was a name unfamiliar to me until earlier this week but it’s safe to say that once I was given the opportunity to premiere this track I had to take it. Hailing from Vancouver, Daijo blends indie and electronic elements seamlessly to create a style wholly unique to himself.
“Love You Better” was an awesome introduction to his small-yet-growing catalog of work. It takes different sounds and emotions and manages to perfectly compress them into one delightful three-minute-listening experience. The melodic drop comes together with Daijo’s tasteful vocal chops s to provide a blissful upbeat balance to the more stripped down verses.
