LIHO, better known to his friends as Lionel Floriani, cut his teeth producing drum & bass, dubstep and more over the last several years. Since then, he’s made his mark with synth-driven dance-pop. “Cold Drinks & Cool Friends” is his latest work with vocalist Akacia.
The track starts out nicely with some Akacia’s lush vocals leading the way before LIHO’s chilled-out synths start to come alive. The melodic influences are there and the lack of a conventional ‘future bass banger’ drop also makes this a much more tasteful listening experience.
