Matoma Teams Up With Noah Cyrus For “Slow”

Your EDM Interview: Matoma

In the last few months, Noah Cyrus has started to emerge out of the shadow of her older sister Miley by cutting tracks with Marshmello, Alan Walker while landing a few hits of her own on her own artist project. Today, she teams up with Matoma for “Slow.”

“Slow” is forthcoming off of Matoma’s sophomore album so you reasonably can expect a huge push from Warner Music on this. The song features some future bass elements that we haven’t heard from Matoma in the past while Cyrus’s emphatic vocals really drive this record home.

Matoma says, “I first heard Noah’s voice on her song ‘Make Me Cry’ and was blown away. She has so much soul and personality. I got in touch with her, and we worked back and forth while I was in Norway and she was on the road. This idea for ‘Slow’ came together and it felt super special. I wanted to push my sound and also do something different from before, and with her singing on it this felt so right. I’m soon going on a big and exciting tour for my new album and I really wanted to put out a banger to get things started, and this feels like a banger!”

“I was so excited to do ‘Slow’ with Matoma,” adds Noah Cyrus. “The song is lyrically so beautiful and the production brings it all to life.”
