EDM has become a global phenomenon, and EDM music festivals have popped up in numerous countries around the world. Ultra Music Festival has made a successful brand out of its international festivals, and other festivals have found varying success in expanding beyond America. Electric Daisy Carnival, despite its huge success in America, hit some roadblocks when trying to expand beyond America, but a new festival may just help improve the festival’s international platform.
EDC China, the first-ever EDC to take place in China and the third EDC to take place in Asia, has been officially announced. The seminal event will take place on April 28 and 29 at the Shanghai International Music Park in Shanghai. EDC China will host fan favorite stages such as kineticTEMPLE, circuitGROUNDS, bassPOD and the Boombox Art Car. Co-organized with Zebra Entertainment Enterprise along with EDC’s parent company Insomniac, EDC China will precede the second edition of EDC Japan, which takes place a few weeks later on May 12-13.
