In a game changing move, Spotify is now publishing extra credits in its extensive music library — so you know exactly who has written and produced your favorite tracks!

Especially as far as EDM goes, this means hitmakers are about to be exposed. Here are just a few examples!

David Guetta – So Far Away

Tiësto & KSHMR – Harder

Avicii – Lonely Together (feat. Rita Ora)

All forms of creators deserve just as much recognition as the artist’s name on the track, so it’s amazing to see these long overdue changes being made.

Spotify users across the globe can view these credits via the desktop platform. Just right click on a track and select “Show Credits” to reveal the performers, songwriters, and producers behind any track.

The popular music streaming service admits that in the beginning there may be incomplete information or potentially inaccuracies as it starts up this new system, so just be patient.

Spotify hopes “the feature will continually evolve to provide better functionality, and incorporate more information from industry partners.”

“Behind every song is a ‘Secret Genius.'”
