Thaddeus Johnson just might be the next American Idol someday — but for now he’s known as the guy who just slayed his audition with a Swedish House Mafia cover!

Without any big stage production or flashing lights, the singer inspires with his just his voice and his own beautiful take on “Don’t You Worry Child” by SHM. In the audition video below, Thaddeus does the song he calls his own motto some serious justice.

This very performance was enough to impress judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan and send him straight through to Hollywood. Watch as the reality show contestant tells his story and belts his heart out to one of the greatest songs in dance music history.

P.S. The Martin Garrix Hub was right there in the comments to say the thing one thing on everyone’s mind — “SHM REUNION CONFIRMED.”
