Major League Gaming is truly becoming a multi-million dollar enterprise, and this year at E3 is going to prove that more than ever. Beyond introducing new online games into the ever-growing selection, Epic Games, creator of Fortnite, has announced a $1 million dollar Fortnite E3 2018 Celebrity Showdown.
Fifty teams of two will compete for a $1 million dollar grand prize, one pro matched with one celebrity. The million dollars will be split between the winning duo for the charity of their choice.
While we don’t know the full lineup of pros and celebrities, ten have been revealed via Twitter, including Marshmello teaming up with Ninja, which seems like it will be the pairing to beat.
The Fortnite E3 2018 Celebrity Showdown will kick off promptly at 3:30 pm PT on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018. It will be livestreamed across various platforms like the Fortnite Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. If you happen to be in LA, you can find out more about how to purchase a ticket to the match for only $10 at this link.
