“Drugs!” is easily one of the more popular tracks from Rezz’s debut album Mass Manipulation released last year, not in small part for its wonky aesthetic and direct allusion to being under the influence. With her visuals, Rezz’s sets are perfect for an enhanced state of mind, though you’d never hear her outright advocate for her fans to take anything.
That being said, Canadian duo Chuurch. have taken the collaboration with 13 and given it a little twist. The original mostly plays on sound design with little melody in the main drop portion of the song; that’s great for live sets, but not so much for home listening. Chuurch. infuses “Drugs!” with a bit more melody and rhythm to make it something you can put on anytime, anywhere.
