This was a big weekend for music festivals in dance music, with Ever After in Canada, Splash House in Palm Springs, and Spring Awakening in Chicago. With so many events going on at once, it would be easy to overlook any of the noteworthy moments going on, but thankfully, that’s what the internet is for.
Deadmau5 headlined the Equinox stage on Sunday night, for which he brought out his massive cube. As he came up on stage, it seemed like he was already in a good mood, taking a little jab at Kaskade, who was playing at the same time over at the Solstice stage.
During his set, he dropped his still unreleased new collaboration with Rob Swire, with a working title of “Monophobia.” It doesn’t seem like the track has changed much since we last heard it, but as far as we can tell, this was the first time it’s been played out live.
You can check it out being played at Spring Awakening below.

Note: an earlier version of this article said that Deadmau5 opened up with the Rob Swire collaboration. It has been corrected.
