Out right now on various platforms is the stunning debut single from UTC (or, to give him his full name – Universe & The Citizen). ‘Blame It On My Body’ features the powerful voice of 19-year-old singer and songwriter Angie; there’s a wealth of production and vocal talent here that belies the new status of both artists.
Angie’s tone is soulful, yet sounds like an experienced veteran on the track, while UTC flips pop, electronica and disco vibes into one song and does so with almost expert appeal. Overall it’s a fun, upbeat and ludicrously catchy track and a fine start from Universe & The Citizen.
