Amongst DJs who’ve been outspoken about mental and physical health, Alison Wonderland’s voice has been one of the loudest. On Twitter, the producer/DJ is fearless about sharing her status at any given moment, and no doubt it has given many of her followers the courage to do the same.
Yesterday, Alison Wonderland announced that she is unfortunately cancelling her shows in Europe this weekend, Mysteryland in the Netherlands and South West Four in London, to recover from “extreme mental & physical exhaustion.”
She continues, “It has been advised by both management and doctors that I take some time to recover. I really need to work on my mental health right now. Please respect my privacy at this time. I’m so sorry to anyone who wanted to come watch me play.”
Not surprisingly, she’s already received plenty of words of encouragement and well wishes from the likes of QUIX, Blunts & Blondes, Felix Cartal, Hex Cougar, Dani Deahl, and more.
We wish Alison Wonderland the best and hope for a speedy recovery, however long that may take.
