Roslyn is sharing her latest single this week via the SALMIAK label. If you’re new to her work, this is a singer/songwriter that grew up in NYC before heading to north Europe and honing her unique sound. Referring to herself as a “young cliché,” she grew up inspired by various 90s genres – which you can hear coming through her music.
She explains her track as “a lullaby written by a survivor of abuse unfazed by her encounter. Her emotions feel like advertisements, so she makes fun of her own victimhood through lofty melodic techno, inspired by the alternative music she grew up on.”
There is something richly atmospheric about this tune, and you are pulled under by Roslyn’s expressive vocals and compelling instrumentals.
