ARTY is back with his second single of the year, and it’s something totally unexpected. “One Night Away” is an upbeat and infectious mixture of rock and piano-house. The verse of the song is built around guitar chords, but the vocals and drop have all the energy to carry over to the dance floor.
“One Night Away” opens up with some major guitar chords being strummed, if you close your eyes, it almost sounds like the opening riff to an AC/DC song. From an electronic standpoint, the rhythm of it evokes Hardwell’s hit “Sally.” However, the lyrical content is the exact opposite of that. “One Night Away” is all about not knowing what you’re searching for, but knowing that you’ll eventually find it. The high energy piano-based drop reinforces that positive and affirmative feeling. We get another go-round for a second verse and drop. Here’s what Arty had to say about creating “One Night Away” with some of his favorite collaborators.
“‘One Night Away is a track dedicated to a person that’s taking a very special place in my life. It’s inspired by love and it’s about love too, but this song also touches upon the hope that should never leave peoples’ hearts when they’re seeking happiness. After telling Chloe and Charlie my story, everybody in the studio was so inspired that all of the lyrics were written in less than an hour. That’s what love can do to, with and for people. It inspired me to produce this song, and I hope ‘One Night Away’ will inspire others in return.”
