Miami’s Club Space is rallying its community to support relief efforts following the devastating earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela on June 24. The venue has announced a fundraising campaign in partnership with Global Empowerment Network, pledging to match every donation made as humanitarian aid continues to reach those affected by the disaster.
Two powerful earthquakes, measuring magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5, caused widespread destruction across northern Venezuela, with Caracas and La Guaira among the hardest-hit areas. According to CNN’s latest live coverage, the death toll continues to rise as emergency crews search for survivors and humanitarian efforts expand across the affected regions.
The earthquake disaster has further strained Venezuela’s already fragile public institutions, compounding challenges created by years of economic and political instability, particularly within an overwhelmed healthcare system. Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has also accused the government of attempting to downplay the severity of the situation, claiming that efforts have been made to obscure the true scale of the emergency.
As part of its initiative, Club Space has introduced optional donation add-ons for guests attending events at Terrace, Ground and Floyd over the coming weekends, allowing attendees to contribute directly when purchasing tickets. Those unable to attend can also donate through a dedicated online fundraising page, with the venue matching all contributions dollar for dollar. In a statement shared on social media, Club Space said it “stands with the people of Venezuela abroad, and in our community here in Miami,” encouraging supporters to contribute however they can.
The campaign reflects Club Space’s longstanding connection to Miami’s diverse community and highlights how the electronic music scene continues to mobilise in support of humanitarian relief beyond the dancefloor. The initiative aims to maximise the impact of every contribution made toward ongoing recovery efforts in Venezuela.
