Gorillaz Set to Open ‘House of Kong’ Experience in Brooklyn This September

Gorillaz are set to return to New York this September with House of Kong, a large-scale audio-visual exhibition that explores the band’s 25-year creative universe through an interactive, story-driven experience. The installation will run from September 1 to 28, 2026 at the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard, arriving ahead of the group’s North American tour and their headline performance at Madison Square Garden on September 29.

Rather than a traditional retrospective, House of Kong has been designed as an experiential installation that invites visitors into the fictional world of Murdoc Niccals, 2D, Russel Hobbs and Noodle. Developed by Gorillaz creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett alongside Eleven Management, the project blends music, animation and visual storytelling into a guided journey through the band’s evolution and wider universe.

The New York edition follows previous runs in London and Los Angeles, expanding the concept into another major cultural hub as Gorillaz continue marking more than two decades of genre-defying multimedia output. The experience is set to run daily between 10am and 10pm, with each visit lasting approximately one hour. Tickets start at around $50, with Kong Card presale access opening June 29 at 10am ET, followed by general sale on June 30 at 10am ET.

The announcement further highlights Gorillaz’ continued commitment to pushing beyond traditional live performance formats, with House of Kong reflecting a growing trend of artists building expansive visual worlds around their music. As demand for experiential and interactive exhibitions continues to rise, the project reinforces the band’s reputation as one of the most influential forces in blending music, art and immersive storytelling.
