A surprise collaboration reveal turned into the headline moment of Dim Mak’s Tomorrowland weekend. Midway through his set, Aoki waved Dutch techno heavyweight Reinier Zonneveld on stage, and the two launched straight into an unannounced back-to-back, no prior lineup teaser, no hints on social media beforehand. That spontaneity is exactly what made the drop of ‘On My Own’ land so hard: a melodic techno record carrying vocals from Darla Jade, arriving as the b2b’s centerpiece rather than a planned reveal. Sonically, it splits the difference between the two artists’ worlds, polished enough for a festival crowd, dark enough to hold its own in a warehouse at 4 a.m. Fans won’t have to wait long to hear it in full, with the release landing this Friday, July 24.
The b2b capped off what was actually Dim Mak’s fifth run hosting its own stage at Tomorrowland, this time as part of a full year of programming built around the label’s 30th anniversary. Aoki and Zonneveld have reportedly been building a catalog of unreleased material together in the studio, and ‘On My Own’ is the first of that work to see daylight, a signal there may be more collaborative material still to come.
The rest of the stage’s bill doubled as a walk through Dim Mak’s history: Bassjackers, Chocolate Puma, D’Angello & Francis, DVBBS, Ian Asher, Kaaze, Laidback Luke, Lucas & Steve, Marnik, and Quintino all played sets spanning the label’s range across electro house, big room, and techno. Since Aoki founded Dim Mak in 1996, the label has built its identity on backing artists early, Bloc Party, The Chainsmokers, The Bloody Beetroots, Deorro, Zedd, and Diplo all had Dim Mak releases before they broke into the mainstream, and that early-adopter instinct is a big part of why the label has kept finding new audiences across three decades of shifting dance music trends. 
Tomorrowland is only one stop on the label’s 30th anniversary run, which continues through the rest of 2026 via the Dim Mak 30 Tour. Aoki has additional dates set for the fall, including a newly confirmed headline show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York on October 24.
