There’s a certain style of house music that I simply cannot get enough of. I like to call it cinematic house because it sounds evocative of a musical score from a movie with a distinct four-on-the-floor beat. I’m not sure if that’s what others would call it, but I’m sticking to it.
Megaphonix has just released a new original called “Concerto” that easily falls into this category. With a powerful driving bassline and staccato plucked synths, scenes of an epic car chase, or maybe a montage, flash across my mind.
