Baauer’s Harlem Shake Becomes New Online Sensation! (UPDATED)

If you thought trap was on fire before, then you have no idea what it’s going to become, or rather, what it’s become with Baauer’s Harlem Shake. What seems to be the next “Express Yourself” or “Gangam Style” or “Cinnamon Challenge” now seems to be this particular video. It features, a normal setting (usually a room, office, or even a bedroom.) with one individual with some sort of head covering, and dancing by themselves to Baauer’s Harlem Shake. As soon as the track drops at 15 seconds, the video cuts to everyone in the room, dancing in crazy, obscene dance moves, such as “the burnie” and hip thrusting to inanimate objects. (Just like in a club, get it?)

So you want to get in on the craze? Here’s what you’ll need!

1. Camera (simple enough)

2. Baauer’s Harlem Shake Playing in the background (wow this is easy so far, right?)

3. A seemingly peaceful scene with a bunch of cool friends/co-workers/people who like trap/people. (if you don’t have friends, try it with some stuffed animals or something, trust me, it’ll still be funny.)

4. basic editing software (google is your friend.)

5. Something to completely cover your head

6. ????

7. Profit! (not really.)
