After years of ripping, downloading, and sharing the song ‘Sierra Leone’ by Mt Eden was officially released last Tuesday! It has been all over youtube for years, going viral back in 2009. Many people are not a stranger to this song if you’ve been a follower of dubstep, even if only for a short while. Not only did Mt Eden release this track but paired it with a few remixes from the likes of araabMUZIK, Ta-ku, Tommie Sunshine, and Live City all in one EP which can be found on iTunes (link below). The song itself is a lot more mellow than the heavy bass filled dubstep we are used to today but holds up nonetheless against some of its contenders.
This New Zealand duo looks to be making some moves now, with them being currently signed to Ultra Music for a multi-album record deal. Be sure to check out ‘Sierra Leone’ if you haven’t and go catch these 2 perform this year while on tour!
