With heavy hearts, we regret to inform you that Tanner Seebaum aka DJ Seebaum passed away this morning, July 12th 2013 after a long fight with brain cancer at the age of 16. Seebaum a resident of my home state of Colorado overcame hearing loss in one ear and damaged vision and equilibrium due to agressive brain cancer, to pursue his dream and passion of DJing.
Seebaum had recently returned from a very special trip to Las Vegas, where he preformed at the Rehab Pool Party at the Hard Rock Hotel during EDC Week. Unfortunately, just a few short weeks after realizing this dream, Tanner passed away.
Truly, DJ Seebaum was an inspiring individual, whose story encapsulates the beauty and power of passion. Seebaum pushed pass enormous obstacles in pursuit of his dream, all the way to the end. And in what many would consider a hopeless situation, he persevered to the very end and with the help of those in the EDM community he was able to live out his dream.
Your EDM extends our deepest condolences to the friends, fans, and family of DJ Seebaum.
DJ Seebaum‘s Facebook page will be left open to pay tribute and honor this courageous and inspirational young man, we encourage you to support his friends and family in their time of need.
