You may not know his name, Zoo Brazil, but this is a song a true house fan needs to know. Zoo Brazil has been flying under radar for some time now, despite having some high profile releases and remixes. In the past, he remixed last year’s big tech hit “Skeleton Key” by Green Velvet and Pleasurekraft as well as having his own original “Ranger” released on Roger Sanchez‘s Stealth Records. He is now back with a track entitled “Ground” on the ever impressive Great Stuff Recordings label.
This house track is bound for serious play at locales like Ibiza, the trumpet lead is much too good to ignore. The track clocks in at 124 BPM, a perfect speed for daytime pool parties. Trumpets and their tonally similar counterparts have been a popular choice in house music as of late, looking at recent efforts like “Enter Floripa” by My Digital Enemy or “Trumpets” by Alex Kenji and Leon Bolier. This observation is certainly not a complaint though, if anything, there is not enough trumpets in modern house tunes. Take a listen to the trumpet lead majesty that is “Ground” after the jump, and find it for purchase on Beatport here.
