Benga Calls it Quits

Say it aint so. Benga announced from his Facebook that he’s in love and out of the game. His Twitter account went down earlier this evening and since then, the UK based pioneer has announced that he’s engaged and planning on pursuing the path of fatherhood rather than DJing.

I hate to write these words out but it appears that Adegbenga Adejumo, has called it quits. One of the big figures behind the early dubstep movement is allegedly crating up his vinyl.  From his Radio 1 show with Skream to, Magnetic Man, to his Youtube breaking hit ‘Crunked Up’, we can’t help but feel a little bummed with his supposed departure.

Either way, we have to commend Benga for keeping his head on straight – sometimes there are more important things in life.
