Electronic music hardware pioneers, Novation, have been in the game for 22  years and have made a strong influence on the dance tunes that we all enjoy. The company is known for their unique digital synthesizers and innovative midi controllers, which have been the source of entertainment for dance parties all around the world.

Most notably, the Novation Launchpad has been at the forefront of  the  “DJ’s as button pushers” stereotype, but several live performers have taken to the stage to break the mold. Madeon‘s rise to fame was fueled by a Youtube video displaying a live performance of the young producer and DJ mashing 39 tracks on a Launchpad midi controller.

As Novation moves forward, they have released a detailed twenty minute documentary that take a look into the company’s past. This is a great watch for any Novation user or anyone interested in digital sound design and live performance.
