Shazam Will Be Worth Over $500 Million With New TV Service

Let’s face it, Shazam is one of the best inventions for a music listener. The company, who is now branching out their services with a new television app, will surpass the $500 million valuation mark once $20 million in funding is delivered. This funding is for the previously mentioned service that will allow for personal interaction with advertisements; for example, you may scan a show/commercial and receive exclusive content.

Although I don’t like how infinite advertising has become, this is pretty cool. Shazam is one thing any music listener can get behind, because they provide a nearly necessary service for many people. Try around 88 million people in fact. With Shazam’s recent deals in the past and this new service, it’s quite plausible they will stay at the top of the pile.
