Today Krewella released the remixes EP for their single “Enjoy The Ride,” featuring two remixes — one by the trance legend himself, Armin Van Buuren, and the other by the beastly duo Vicetone.
It’s always nice when two worlds collide like in the case of Armin’s remix; it lets you look at a certain style from a different perspective and promotes originality and musical diversity. Being a huge trance and bass music fan myself, Armin’s remix is simply pure gold in my eyes; pure, unadulterated gold. He really manages to set the classic trance to progressive ratio just right and makes it all work incredibly well with Krewella’s awesome vocals. It’s truly a heavenly pairing.
Vicetone’s remix has quite a few sub-genres mixed in there with influences from the current “big room” progressive house craze and the classic electro house scene coupled with some groovy vibes derived from classic house, making for a pretty diverse formula. While it’s not particularly my style, I can still appreciate the production quality and diversity — awesome remix.
