A few months ago, in March, the Chicago-based Godfather of House tragically passed away. I’m talking of course about Frankie Knuckles. Shortly after, the city of Chicago organized an event to pay homage to the pioneer. The free event took place today, June 3, at the Chase Central Promenade in Millennium Park. The event started out with opening words from Robert Williams and Alan King in remembrance of Frankie, and then moved onto DJs Craig Loftis, Greg Gray, and Elbert Phillips.
