LUMBERJVCK – JVCKWOOD [Rottun Recordings]

LUMBERJVCK – JVCKWOOD [Rottun Recordings]

Out on Rottun Recordings is the new EP from dubstep/trap producer LUMBERJVCK. Snapped up by Excision to release ‘JVCKWOOD’, this young producer has gone for the seriously dark depths here. It’s a fiery collection of four beats, with one a collaboration with Khemehk.

Kicking things off with ‘Reelfoot Lake’, the atmosphere for the rest of the EP is set. From the merciless laughter to the gnarly bursts of melody, this one resonates long after play has finished. As mentioned, LUMBERJVCK teamed up wih Khemehk for ‘Bumpwood’ – bringing in fresh sounds of guitar and explosive drums. ‘Cordwood’ is the most energised of the four, with ‘Mirkwood’ rounding off proceedings in sharply aggressive style.

LUMBERJVCK isn’t messing with ‘JVCKWOOD’ – it’s a bass-ridden, murky exploration of sounds. You can grab it here.
