Gracing the Electronic Dance Music community for over a decade now, Richie Hawtin’s newest addendum to his rap sheet is nothing short of impressive. He is moving away from his roots in Techno music and making his debut in the movie industry doing scoring films.
He will be working with French director Bertrand Bonello on adaptations of a 1928 silent movie titled, “Brumes d’ automne”. In all honesty the direction he is taking now is quite shocking. To move from contemporary electronic music to scoring for film spin-offs that stemmed from the 20th Century is inspiring in the least and highlights his artistic abilities entirely.
The film will premiere on September 19th in Paris, France.
