Out today is the sublime new single from German producer/s (we can’t quite be sure) Modul Kollektiv, who releases ‘Farbenfroh’ via Dirty Soul Records. Tying in nicely with the rebranding of the label (an imprint of Dutch platform Be Yourself Music), this single is a brooding yet twinkling piece of deep house.
The title takes its meaning from the German word for “colourful”, and the development of the tune is precisely that. Weaving a gently thumping bass line with intricate shards of wobbling riffs, this is an awesome offering from Modul Kollektiv.
