Crystal Castles Break Up

This is just in, the group known as Crystal Castles has disbanded. Comprised of Alice Glass and Ethan Kath, the close to ten year old collaborative project has broken up. Alice took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the matter:

“I am leaving Crystal Castles. My art and my self-expression in any form has always been an attempt towards sincerity, honesty, and empathy for others. For a multitude of reasons both professional and personal I no longer feel that this is possible within CC. Although this is the end of the band, I hope my fans will embrace me as a solo artist in the same way they have embraced Crystal Castles.”

Created back in Toronto in 2004, the band released 3 studio albums spanning 2008 to 2012, respectively called I, II, III and have been touring excessively since then. The news will surely come as a shock to fans across the globe.
