JST Records dropped a sick EP from Beef Theatre on the 10th called Lazertag. One original that shares the EP’s name is accompanied by two remixes, one by Troublegum and one by M.A.D.E.S, as well as a bonus original freebie entitled “Oh Yeah.” Both originals share a similar electro house sound, however the latter of the two, I feel, is more energetic and complex. Both are amazing, much like the remixes are. First we have Troublegum, who churned out a diabolical drum & bass edit that blows you away, then continues to grow on you as you listen more. M.A.D.E.S’ remix brings things back into four-to-the-floor in a big way. If it’s not my favorite remix on the project, it sure contends for the top spot.
