Back when I heard Sasha Grey was getting into the world of EDM, I was intrigued and ready to see just what she had to offer. She’s currently on tour, she did a track with JayCeeOh and now she did one with Goshfather & Jinco. Sure there’s been some backlash, but for the most part the transition for this former porn star, who had already been in music, has been a good one. And this latest tune, it’s a really good one. There’s a shit ton of deep house out, and more coming, but there’s not a whole lot of records that are as funky and interesting to listen to like this flip of “Ghetto Superstar” by Pras, Mya and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. When a genre gets beat like a dead horse, there tends to be a lack of character, but these two acts came together to give us something with a lot of heart and soul, although since this is “Ghetto Superstar” I’m tempted to say swag. I’ll refrain, but I won’t refrain from telling you to download this baby.
