“Funeral” is a new original song created by the collaborative efforts of Arizona’s Y//2//K and Honest. Things start off with a soft melody reminiscent of “The Prayer” by Kid Cudi. A vivid dark and dreamy picture is painted by the producers with a story being told until the very end when the last tone ends in silence. Future, trap, whatever you want to call this, all I know is that it is one of the more emotive songs to have come out recently. It’s a perfect Winter track to cuddle up to and do some introspection. Apparently there’s a big storm coming my way, so I plan on getting lost in this tune for a while. “Funeral” is a storm in and of itself; one that many will be glad to have been unleashed upon the world.
