English group The Prodigy has been around since the early ’90s, and I dare you to find someone who hasn’t heard “Smack My Bitch Up”. The band has a very unique style, and after the recent release of “Nasty”, it’s definitely refreshing to hear their signature sound again.
Today, they released the second single off of the upcoming album, the title song “The Day Is My Enemy”. The track opens with epic sounding drums and eerie looping vocals, and then progresses into heavy, violent beats almost reminiscent of Marilyn Manson. Everything about it still screams The Prodigy, and clearly displays the band’s ability to fuse together rock and electronic music into something awesome. The band claims this new album will be their best yet, and this makes us hopeful that the wait has been worth it. Listen below. The full album, The Day Is My Enemy, will be available on March 30th.
