Gorgon City Soars with “Sky High”

Gorgon City’s Sirens Entices House Fans

I’m glad Gorgon City didn’t take too much time after their album to release new tunes. Though they’re still enjoying the success of their debut album Sirens from October, Matt and Kai haven’t kicked just up their heels and basked in the accolades since. Instead, they’ve been on a world tour, bringing their live act to New York, London, and more. Along the way, they’ve also been working on new material in preparation for their impending festival season, which starts in less than three weeks at Ultra Music Festival. Today, their first new track premiered, courtesy of Mixmag. “Sky High” has just the right amount of energy for a house track to be playable in all types of sets. While it’s not a total barn burner like “Go All Night,” it can still get a room going at 4am when the crowd starts to die down but doesn’t want to go home quite yet. Gorgon City goes easy on the lyrics, a welcome change from their vocal-heavy album. Their greatest strength is their rich, qurky bass lines that need room to shine. Check out the full track below, and be sure to find Gorgon City performing at a festival near you this summer.
