Watch What Electric Daisy Carnival Was Like 15 Years Ago

With the Coachella hype finally fading, fans are preparing for the next great summer festival: Electric Daisy Carnival.

Although the month of May contains several great festivals, the anticipation to see what Insomniac unveils at this years Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is only building as the dates draw closer. Being the flagship festival for Insomniac Events, Electric Daisy Carnival 2015 will make a powerful statement.

While we wait however, we get the chance to flashback 15 years to one of the first Electric Daisy Carnivals.

In the year 2000, Electric Daisy Carnival was a one day event that cost a measly $35 which is less expensive then the price of a locker at this years event. 5 stages were placed though out the event and played host to over 35 artists, some of which were legends such as BT, Dieselboy and more.

How did they help sell tickets back then? with an amazingly catchy tag line, of course:

“Super blooming beats, funkafied freaks, and full sized carnival rides”

With this year’s event expected to draw over 100,000 visitors and countless artists, you can truly see how far the festival has come. You can watch footage from Electric Daisy Carnival 2000 below:
