Two weeks ago, Oliver Heldens broke the news that he was the mastermind behind bass house mystery name, HI-LO. With his initial track out on Mad Decent, HI-LO had caused quite a stir surrounding the artist project, and Heldens decided to couple the reveal with the launch of his imprint, Heldeep Records. The first track to inaugurate Heldeep Records is the follow-up single of HI-LO, “Renegade Mastah.”
Originally, Heldens uploaded a snippet of the track on the Heldeep Records SoundCloud but now the full stream sees itself released into the world. As the preview alluded to, HI-LO swarms a barrage of metallic drum strikes, snappy percussion patterns, and the scraping bass that put HI-LO on the map.
