As much as I love bass music, it can be tiring when you’re turned up to 11 all day, every day. That’s why I like to balance my diet with equal parts bass and chill – and the heavier the bass, the softer the chill.
For days when metal, dubstep and drum & bass are my vices, tracks like this remix from Tontario are a perfect complement. Soft, muted kicks and a hypnotic vocal line draw your attention immediately, while the underlying bassline just guides you along, much like a lazy river would. Transforming the original track from Emmecosta, which was already chilled out before Tontario got his hands on it, “Brontos” becomes like a lullaby, drawing me into a state of relaxation and good vibes.
