First Artists Leak From Coachella 2016 Lineup

Governor’s Ball Creates Petition To Delay Competing New York Festival

Can it just be festival season already? It might as well be, with the way pre-sales for next year’s festivals have already begun. Many of us purchase tickets early, then wait with bated breath as the lineups get announce. Coachella, which falls pretty early on the festival season calendar, is only 5 months away, and the list of performers are slowly trickling in.

Though some of you might know the name Nile Rodgers for his contribution to Daft Punk‘s latest album Random Access Memories, he was a legend well before that. His band Chic is best known for the song “Le Freak” and were inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Recently, Rodgers did an interview with The New York Times and spoke about Chic’s new album, and also quietly mentioned that the band would be performing at Coachella. The band will join Jean-Michel Jarre and St. Germain as the confirmed list of headliners, with Lost Frequencies and Dubfire rumored and confirmed, respectively, to also join the line-up.

Coachella will take place April 15-17 & 22- 24.
