Ookay’s “Thief” has achieved cult-hit status. Nearing 2.5 million plays on Soundcloud, it is likely Ookay’s most ambitious and successful tune of his career, and yet… it always felt like it was missing something.
Leave it to KillaGraham and Diamond Pistols to find the missing ingredient: some Kenny Loggins and jazz lounge vibes. Gone are the electronic sweeps and bassline, replaced with live drum sounds and putting even greater emphasis on the saxophone than the original (if that’s even possible).
This is my new favorite thing ever.
