Seven Lions Played Secret Psytrance Set At EDC Under “DJ Sven”

Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this weekend saw a veritable pantheon of unexpected appearances by some of the scene’s most notable and eclectic acts. Kaskade, in his usual fashion, played out a walloping Redux set in the Sky Bridge area following his set at circuitGROUNDS on Friday evening, and Martin Garrix even came out during Julian Jordan’s performance at Stage 7, as well as Marshmello’s at cosmicMEADOW. Along with the emergence of acts like Tiësto, Skrillex, Ookay’s bass-playing dad and more, the weekend quickly became one of constant surprises and unprecedented, onstage collaborations.

One of the most interesting of these came this year via the Kalliope art car stage where a previously unknown performer, DJ Sven, played a pounding psytrance set to a welcoming crowd. After about 30 minutes, the car began moving along the Rainbow Road toward the area between wasteLAND and kineticFIELD with an enormous line of dancing followers in tow, according to Reddit user /u/polar-ice.

When the lights finally came up, however, the DJ was revealed to be none other than Seven Lions. In the short clip below, Astrix’s remix of Juno Reactor’s “Conquistador” can be heard from the mobile art car. Stay tuned as we add more video and audio from the incredible secret set.
