Beats 1 Radio host Zane Lowe has just announced the newest addition to the program’s high caliber roster of contributors. Beginning this Friday, Martin Garrix will be curating his very own STMPD Radio show every other week at 3 p.m. PST, rotating with deadmau5’s mau5trap presents. Currently, Garrix is signed for a full season of showcases, all of which will be available on demand on the Beats 1 website.
In addition to exclusive mixes from himself, including unreleased Garrix tunes alongside his weekly favorites from the EDM circuit, a guest mix contributor will be featured on each program in similar fashion to Mau5trap Presents. This week, Steve James will take over the decks during the second half of the show.
During Zane Lowe’s interview, Garrix reveals details of his upcoming tour schedule as well as his dedicated months of studio time. He said that he wants his record label to promote and push new, eclectic artists into the upper echelons of the music realm.
Finally, Garrix gave details on his next single, to be released sometime within the next month. It will feature Bebe Rexha, he said, and comes as only one example of a wide plethora of interesting and unexpected collaborations to follow.
Listen to the full interview below, and tune in this Friday to catch the first STMPD Radio program.
