A post on the EDM subreddit this morning caught our attention with its pretty compelling argument – namely, that Martin Garrix will be named this year’s #1 DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100.
The argument follows a very simple logic. The flyer, officially available for all to see on the AMF website, says that the number 1 DJ this year will be NEW. It also says “DJ” rather than “DJs,” so we know it won’t be another duo. Finally, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are all already on the lineup, so they couldn’t be special guests. And unless Tiesto somehow jumped from #5 to #1 this year, which is unlikely, we’re looking at Martin Garrix as this year’s DJ Mag #1.
Though it’s obviously early, we can’t help but congratulate the young producer on this massive accomplishment.
