Your EDM Premiere: Barely Alive – Jungle Demon [Disciple]

Barely Alive has been on an absolute tear lately, as their most recent collab with German superstar Virtual Riot has accumulated almost 100,000 plays in just a week. Hailing from Massachusetts, the wub-inclined duo knows no bounds when it comes to gargantuan tracks. “Jungle Demon” proves no different, as its seriously impressive sound design more than compensates for its simple melody.

Although the verse reminds me of a modernized version of old-school Skrillex, the drop takes on a whole new persona – something that only the likes of Barely Alive could achieve. The second half of the drop even reveals a sort of Snails-esque growl, causing me to already foresee the incessant amounts of headbanging amongst music festival crowds. Take a listen for yourself below, and let us know what you think!
