David Guetta’s New Single Is A Surprising Return To Disco

Taking a shameless cue from the styling of Daft Punk’s RAM, David Guetta’s newest single, “Would I Lie To You,” is a gorgeous return to the realm of disco.

Reworking Charles & Eddie’s original, this collaboration with Cedric Gervais is the perfect cap to another glorious summer. Unapologetically funky, the track’s guitar riff and keyboard stabs work seamlessly with Chris Willis’ vocals and backing harmonies. By adding just the right amount of modernity, Guetta and Gervais have managed to keep the essence of the track in tact while sharpening “Would I Lie To You” for 2016.

Have a listen below, and be sure to grab “Would I Lie To You” for your own collection, available now via iTunes.
