Major Lazer & Showtek Release New Festival Trap Banger [STREAM]

An unexpected collaboration between Showtek and Diplo-led group Major Lazer has just emerged on Soundcloud, coming as a powerful and festival-ready trap heater that’s sure to be played out across the live event circuit in no time. Drawing noticeable influence from each of the two groups’ iconic styles, “Believer” is far more fluid than we could have anticipated.

It begins with soaring Jamaican-draped vocals above warm synth pulses and a minimal percussion arrangement. The track soon swells upwards into the drop, where overwhelming Showtek big room melodies are cut and transformed into a thunderous trap rhythm. After a second pass, the song breaks into a pounding, almost Melbourne bounce style section to close.
