This morning, deadmau5′ mau5trap label updated their cover photo to tease the Mau5’s upcoming album, W:/2016ALBUM/, which has been confirmed for a December 2 release.
The album title is a play on the root file of hard-drive partition folder on a Windows computer which more or less plays into deadmau5’s techie roots. The album will almost certainly contain previously unheard productions alongside many of his creations that fans have heard during his Twitch sessions. Unsurprising when you realize just how much material deadmau5 has put together over the last year or so on his various live-streams.
W:/2016ALBUM/ will mark deadmau5’s first ever album released via his own mau5trap imprint.
