SICK INDIVIDUALS ft. Stevie Appleton – People I Love

We’re always looking for that potential next big hit, right? With the sheer amount of dance music producers that are out there, it’s a near statistical impossibility that it hasn’t already been made – it’s just a matter of finding it.

This new track from Sick Individuals and Stevie Appleton, “People I Love,” comes pretty damn close. With a progressive house rhythm and poppy, upbeat sound, it fills a void that producers like Swedish House Mafia left behind. Sure, there are a lot that attempt it – but to this bass head’s ears, Sick Individuals is pretty on point.

My only criticism of the original mix, and it’s less pointing out a weakness than it is an opportunity for improvement, is the lack of a big orchestral drop with brass and a deeper, layered sound. I think it could have been a lot better, but it’s still great.

The club mix takes a lot longer to get into the good stuff (it is a club mix, after all) but the drop is infinitely more anthemic, ready for the next main stage or festival cruise of the year.
