Rootkit – Good 2 Go feat. Tylor Maurer [Monstercat]

Rootkit can do no wrong, he has proved that time and time again. Making his debut in early 2014 with “Do It,” the Norwegian talent proved that he wasn’t going to be a simple run-of-the-mill D&B producer. However, it was his experimentation with house music that really caught my attention, starting with “Real Love” in 2014.

Though Rootkit has released some insanely unique originals throughout his career (see “Wildfire” and “Carry Me Away“), it’s his distinct flavor of house that has kept me coming back over and over. I’ll tell you straight and simple, his most recent style – a hybrid of bass house and G-house – makes Rootkit a force to be reckoned with.

Thankfully, this sound has made another return for Rootkit’s newest single “Good 2 Go,” which is arguably his most ambitious release in the genre yet. The track is straight filthy, with strong industrial influences and bass that packs a serious punch. The instrumental is accompanied by MC Tylor Maurer (you might remember him from Aero Chord‘s Love & Hate EP), whose pitched-down rap only makes the song even more intense. Don’t miss this one!
